Kate Coppock

Psychotherapist and counsellor

Kate is an experienced and approachable psychotherapist and counsellor. Her training includes a post graduate course of four years of Transactional Analysis psychotherapy clinical work.

Kate has worked with vulnerable young people and adults for over seven years and trained as a psychotherapist four years ago. She offers psychotherapy and counselling in a safe space to help clients become more self-aware and have the capability to think and feel emotions with clarity and understanding. Counselling is used to help people come to terms with any problems they are facing, with the ultimate aim of overcoming them and psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods to help a person notice and bring into awareness unhelpful patterns in their life that were formed in their childhood and to change those behaviours and transactions with people. She specialises in helping people with anxiety disorders and overcoming depression.

Kate has worked in a sixth form college with students aged 16-19 and has a wealth of experience with adolescents and young people from dealing with cyber bullying to anxiety over exams to eating disorders. She has also worked in a substance misuse centre alongside the concerned others of addicts to help them work through the pain of seeing a loved one who is suffering and how to carve their path out in life.

At the beautiful therapy rooms of Chanctonbury Osteopathy she offers psychotherapy, counselling and walk and talks to adolescents, young people and adults for a range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, substance misuse, suicide ideation, panic attacks, low self-esteem, anger management and more.

Allyson Lean

Mind Align Therapy

I’m a hypnotherapist specialising in supporting midlife women who feel stuck in patterns of emotional eating, stress, and overwhelm. Through a blended approach of personalised hypnotherapy and mindfulness-based techniques — including journaling, breathwork, and coaching — I help clients break free from the binge–regret cycle, rebuild self-trust, and create lasting change, without relying on willpower alone.

My approach is empathetic, down-to-earth, and rooted in understanding the real-life pressures women face during perimenopause and beyond. I offer sessions in-person here in Steyning and online, making support flexible and accessible wherever you are.

A free 30-minute online discovery call is available if you’d like to find out more about the plans I offer, ask any questions, and see if this feels like the right fit for you.

Cathy Rowland

Integrative Relational Psychotherapist

I am an experienced UKCP-accredited Integrative Relational Psychotherapist, and EMDR practitioner registered with EMDR UK. I have a private psychotherapy practice in Hove and Ashington and also work as an EMDR Associate for The Sussex Psychological Therapy Centre. As an HCPC-registered Music Therapist (my previous career) I continue to supervise Music Therapists.

I work in Ashington on Fridays, offering individual Integrative Relational Psychotherapy and EMDR, (Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) to adults experiencing low moods, depression, anxiety and trauma. I provide a warm, open, respectful space and as an LGBTQI+ affirmative practitioner, welcome enquiries across the whole community. Rooted in the humanistic tradition, my style is collaborative, where I support you to develop the capacities you need to go forwards in life – whether this is in a calmer, more hopeful, positive or more meaningful way. As an integrative practitioner, I draw flexibly upon ideas across different traditions. A few of these are: relational psychoanalysis, TA, (transactional analysis) IFS (internal family systems), polyvagal and other trauma theories, mindful CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), contributions from neuroscience or the existential tradition. While many of these ideas may promote powerful change, I consider the greatest change agent in my work to be EMDR.

Recommended by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence), this structured and creative therapy processes trauma held deeply within your nervous system. I practice Attachment-Focussed EMDR and specialise in working with people with whose issues are rooted in childhood, usually early family relationships. While I tailor my approach to suit you, I draw upon your creative imagination to build up the necessary inner resources to process trauma safely and efficiently.

You are welcome to get in touch to arrange a short free phone call, or to arrange an initial consultation.
